Sample availability procedure
Researchers can easily obtain information on the number of registered samples from cancer patients in the Catalogue of the Belgian Virtual Tumourbank (BVTc):
1. Complete the document with your coordinates, sample description and scientific purpose (click here)
2. Send the filled in form
3. Your request will be processed
If you are working for a European academic organisation or any other European non-profit research-related organisation:
- The BVT team will inform you via e-mail about the total number of samples matching your request, including the biobank's contact information
If you (and/or your partners) do not belong to the category above-mentioned:
- The BVT team will inform you via e-mail about the total number of samples matching your request, and the number of hosting biobanks
- Only after receiving biobank's approval, contact information of the involved biobank(s) will be provided
4. At the moment of sample exchange, the BVT team can perform (upon request) a quality control on the data registered in the BVT Catalogue for the exchanged samples
